Sandra, founder of The Spanish Fluency Centre

After years in the school system, Sandra went looking for more effective ways to teach Spanish, and began writing her own teaching materials. In 1990 she founded The Spanish Fluency Centre.

At TSFC, students acquire Spanish rather than memorise it. Through comprehensible input, they learn by speaking, listening, reading, storytelling, writing, conversation, singing and movement. They discover Spanish's own rhythm, structure and patterns, and build vocabulary by using Spanish in context instead of drilling grammar rules and word lists. Soon, to their delight, they understand and speak with growing fluency.

Sandra brings humour, imagination and a passion for teaching to the latest language-acquisition methods. She believes anyone seriously committed to learning Spanish can do it, and every TSFC course is built on that belief. Most recently, she has designed and built TSFC's own Spanish learning apps, to make Spanish easier to acquire at any age.
